Meteor Shower

Meteor shower are astronomical phenomenon that occurs because of the space debris object called meteoroids, which entered the Earth's atmosphere at high speed. Meteor the size of a grain of sand is generally only, and almost everything is destroyed before it reaches the Earth's surface. Debris that reaches the Earth's surface are called meteorites. Meteor shower occur when the earth crosses generally near the orbit of a comet and through splinters.

Ionosphere E sporadic layer is influenced by solar activity, meteor shower and geomagnetic. Critical frequency sporadic E layer parameter increase relating to meteor shower. Using the data when the meteor shower reached the maximum at night and there was no geometric activity, there was a signification change ( 1 degree 11, S, 135 degree 07E). It depends on the location of meteoroid steam to elliptical. The increase of foEs that occurred on August 5, 1993 was more than those on June 16, 1993 and August 13, 1993, because meteoroid stream lied at south of elliptical during the meteor shower 217  on August 5, 1993. At night, foEs pattern followed the intensity of meteor stream, especially between 00.00 - 06.00 local time.
